Seriously? |
What in god's name was this Missing People organization thinking? Even if they find Kate McCann a sympathetic figure, even if they believe her daughter was really abducted, even if they believe she has truly spent five years searching for her missing child, the people who run this organization have to know that a good many people think Kate McCann is guilty of child neglect, guilty of manslaughter, guilty of covering up a crime, guilty of obstructing a police investigation, and guilty of defrauding the public of money. Who chooses such a person to represent their organization? Wasn't there one person in the leadership who said, "You know, bringing Kate McCann on board might not be such a bright idea."
Of course, Kate McCann, had she any sense of decency and concern for the purpose of such an organization should have said, "I do appreciate your kind offer and your generous support of my innocence and forgiveness of my parenting "mistake" but I wouldn't want to do harm to your organization, do more damage than good, considering how many people think I am guilty of a number of crimes. They will undoubtedly attack your organization if my name were to be linked with it."
Oh, I get why Kate didn't turn down the offer; it fits with her personality. I am not a bit surprised. If she had turned it down, I might have actually stopped to rethink my analysis of her. Guess I don't have to do that. I also can't help but wonder if, perhaps, she wasn't offered the position...that maybe she offered herself as a representative, that she paid her way in. Maybe a large donation is what buys you an ambassadorship. I, for one, would like to see the financial records.
So, go figure. Another bizarre occurrence in the McCann saga which involves people who shouldn't be involved with them. I never was much for conspiracy theories, but with all the high level people sticking up for the McCanns and ignoring their very concerning behaviors and misdeeds, I just have to wonder why the McCanns seem to walk on British waters, don't you?

Of course she wouldn't have turned it down. She's a narcissist.
ReplyDeleteDon't apologise for saying what many of us are thinking, Pat. The absurdity of this will go unchallenged by the UK's limp, useless media while the man in the street's jaw hits the round with a thud and he has a shaky look around as if to say "have I died and woke up in a parallel universe where child neglectors get prestigious jobs?"
ReplyDeletePat, I am as shocked as you are! Well, why don't we just appoint Casey Anthony as co-ambassador since simple LOGIC has been abandoned? I honestly am without words on this.!
ReplyDeleteLet me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of London I 'll show you something to make you understand...
ReplyDeletehttp://madeleinemccannagenda.blogspot.com.es/2012/01/mccanns-friend-lady-catherine-myer.html
I am utterly at a loss to understand this appointment as you all are.
ReplyDeleteAll I can think is that this is a lesson we plebs have to learn for some reason! They will thrust Kate and Gerry down our throats - we will be force fed until we accept what they want us to. That they are here to stay and we should shut up and get on with it.
This must be PR gone mad! They are trying so hard to launder the Mccann image and make Kate a role model for families of missing people. As you say with such direct and appropriate words Unfuckingbelievable!
ReplyDeleteWhen I told 94-year-old Maman last night, I regretted I didn't have a camera at hand. To recap her reaction the shortest way possible, she said: "WHAT????!!!!!! ##@$^&^%$#%&**^% !!!!"

HI Pat i completely agree.
ReplyDeleteI fired off a snotty but polite email to the charity. I ask anyone who agrees lilo lil (kate) should be kicked out to contact the said charity by phone or email and demand they remove her immediately.
This is the email i sent them

Morning.
I would like to know why you have chosen as an ambassador to represent missing people including missing children a woman who has admitted child neglect by leaving a 3 yr old toddler babysitting her twin 2 yr old siblings every night for a week in an unlocked apartment on an exposed street in a foreign country.
A woman who refused to answer 48 questions regarding the events surrounding the night her daughter Madeleine vanished from the apartment.
A woman who has admitted not physically searching because she was busy working hard.
A woman who, when offered the chance to keep the case open, refused.
A woman who immediately hired lawyers and spin doctors to protect her own reputation rather than co-operating with law enforcement.
A woman who claimed she was being a responsible parent but refused to say who told her she was.
A woman who refused to take part in a police reconstruction because it wouldn't be helpful, instead wanted it to be shown on tv with actors playing their roles.
A woman who says someone out there has the one piece of info that could solve the case and demands they come forward yet steadfastly refuses to reveal the 48 pieces of info she knows.
A woman who claims she came into contact with 6 dead bodies in the week or so prior to going to PDL which is why cadaver dogs reacted to her trousers and cuddlecat despite being a part time locum doing 1.5 days a week in a small practice.
Who couldn't explain why cadaver dogs with a 100% track record reacted behind the sofa, their wardrobe, a child's red t shirt, car keys and the hire car.
The hire car that stank so much neighbors reported the boot being left open overnight to air.
Who claimed the smell the dogs reacted to was in fact rotting meat, dirty diapers, seabass and sweaty sandals.
Who claimed the body fluids found in the car came from dirty diapers and sweaty sandals.
Who has sued or threatened to sue anyone who disagrees with her version of events and whose husband has said everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Who has used a fund meant to find her missing daughter to pay legal fees, their mortgage, on dubious private investigators, vacations, travel expenses and cars whilst spending a minute amount on actual searching
Who is currently being sued not only by rt. det. Goncalo Amaral but also criminal profiler Pat Brown.
Who found tme to take part in her own documentary but not time to do a reconstruction.
A woman who if confronted with the same situation at work would report the parents for neglect.
Who claimed Madeleine asked where her parents were when she and her sibling cried and who replied she wondered if it was when they were being bathed, which begs the following:
If kate and gerry were in the apartment at bathtime they would have heard the children crying and investigated.
If they had been bathing the children the question would not have arisen so this leads to several questions:
Who was bathing the children?
David Payne?
A man known to like bathing other peoples children and recognised by a social worker in relation to child abuse.
A a man called out as a paedophile suspect by 2 independant Drs (Gaspar) and also the wife of Goncalo Amaral and who has stayed silent on what are the worse things you could call a man (if he can't deny it neither can we)
If they were in the apartment and didn't hear crying whose apartment were the children in or if the children were in their own apartment where were the parents?
A woman who has told us Madeleine is dead when she said in an interview
ReplyDeleteKate said: "It really isn't easy," coping. "Some days are better than others. ... There's days when you think, 'I can't do this anymore,' and you just want to press a button, and we're all gone, and it's all finished, and we're all together and gone. Wherever.
But you can't, you know.
Just occasionally you'll have a -- if you're having a really bad day, which we do. And you can't help but think that."
If Madeleine was alive then logically they wouldn't all be togeather.
Madeleine would be an orphan.
It shows suicidal tendencies and begs the question if she were to face charges would the twins be at risk of harm?
These are the questions:
1. On May 3 2007, around 22:00, when you entered the apartment, what did you see? What did you do? Where did you look? What did you touch?
2. Did you search inside the bedroom wardrobe? (she replied that she wouldn’t answer)
3. (shown 2 photographs of her bedroom wardrobe) Can you describe its contents?
4. Why had the curtain behind the sofa in front of the side window (whose photo was shown to her) been tampered with? Did somebody go behind that sofa?
5. How long did your search of the apartment take after you detected your daughter Madeleine’s disappearance?
6. Why did you say from the start that Madeleine had been abducted?
7. Assuming Madeleine had been abducted, why did you leave the twins home alone to go to the ‘Tapas’ and raise the alarm? Because the supposed abductor could still be in the apartment.
8. Why didn’t you ask the twins, at that moment, what had happened to their sister or why didn’t you ask them later on?
9. When you raised the alarm at the ‘Tapas’ what exactly did you say and what were your exact words?
10. What happened after you raised the alarm in the ‘Tapas’?
11. Why did you go and warn your friends instead of shouting from the verandah?
12. Who contacted the authorities?
13. Who took place in the searches?
14. Did anyone outside of the group learn of Madeleine’s disappearance in those following minutes?
15. Did any neighbour offer you help after the disappearance?
16. What does 'we let her down' mean?
17. Did Jane tell you that night that she’d seen a man with a child?
18. How were the authorities contacted and which police force was alerted?
19. During the searches, with the police already there, where did you search for Maddie, how and in what way?
20. Why did the twins not wake up during that search or when they were taken upstairs?
21. Who did you phone after the occurrence?
ReplyDelete22. Did you call Sky News?
23. Did you know the danger of calling the media, because it could influence the abductor?
24. Did you ask for a priest?
25. By what means did you divulge Madeleine’s features, by photographs or by any other means?
26. Is it true that during the searches you remained seated on Maddie’s bed without moving?
27. What was your behaviour that night?
28. Did you manage to sleep?
29. Before travelling to Portugal did you make any comment about a foreboding or a bad feeling?
30. What was Madeleine’s behaviour like?
31. Did Maddie suffer from any illness or take any medication?
32. What was Madeleine’s relationship like with her brother and sister?
33. What was Madeleine’s relationship like with her brother and sister, friends and school mates?
34. As for your professional life, in how many and which hospitals have you worked?
35. What is your medical specialty?
36. Have you ever done shift work in any emergency services or other services?
37. Did you work every day?
38. At a certain point you stopped working, why?
39. Are the twins difficult to get to sleep? Are they restless and does that cause you uneasiness?
40. Is it true that sometimes you despaired with your children’s behaviour and that left you feeling very uneasy?
41. Is it true that in England you even considered handing over Madeleine’s custody to a relative?
42. In England, did you medicate your children? What type of medication?
43. In the case files you were SHOWN CANINE forensic testing films, where you can see them marking due to detection of the scent of human corpse and blood traces, also human, and only human, as well as all the comments of the technician in charge of them. After watching and after the marking of the scent of corpse in your bedroom beside the wardrobe and behind the sofa, pushed up against the sofa wall, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?
44. When the sniffer dog also marked human blood behind the sofa, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?
45. When the sniffer dog marked the scent of corpse coming from the vehicle you hired a month after the disappearance, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?
46. When human blood was marked in the boot of the vehicle, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?
47. When confronted with the results of Maddie’s DNA, whose analysis was carried out in a British laboratory, collected from behind the sofa and the boot of the vehicle, did you say you couldn’t explain any more than you already had?
48. Did you have any responsibility or intervention in your daughter’s disappearance?
A QUESTION SHE DID ANSWER
Q. Are you aware that in not answering the questions you are jeopardising the investigation, which seeks to discover what happened to your daughter?
A. 'Yes, if that’s what the investigation thinks.'
The only reason kate mccann did not face charges in Portugal for child neglect resulting in harm which has a max 10 year sentence is that if they had charged her they could not then have charged her later with homicide, concealment of a corpse and filing a false police report.
ReplyDeleteI am sad to say i shall no longer be making any donations to your charity whilst you have a self -confessed child neglector representing you, i shall also be informing all my family, friends and social media contacts of my decision and also suggesting they too refrain from supporting your charity.
You may also find that public disgust with kate and gerry mccann, their behavior and parenting skills and lack thereof will result in a large drop in support and donnations.
I would advise you get as a representative someone who has worked hard for missing children such as Kerry Grist or Sara Payne, someone the public would support wholeheartedly rather than a selfish mother who puts her own reputation above that of her daughter Madeleine.
I await with interest your response as to the thinking behind this major exercise in bad taste.
Yours
hobnob (real name concealed here)
Hobs,
DeleteBRILLIANT LETTER!!! Good on ya!! I would love to see Sara Payne take on the appointment, personally. I have been so impressed with her advocacy!
Much thanks

McCann's sister or sister in-law has had her foot in the door of Missing People for a couple of years now laying the ground work.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Missing People will sooner or later be scammed by mother earth just the way they tried to scam their own directors from their own fund. Oh yes!
A chap who had been at the pub the night before ALSO counted the money unknown to the McCanns ...ooops the following day there was a correction in that sinsiet blog of McCanns.

I am also very surprised... I guess this is prestigious for her and maybe a therapy for her guilty (if she knows the meaning of this word)... Am as astonished with this news as I am with the south african who invaded Murat's property and claims he found Madeleine's remains... This story keeps being a circus and it is good to invent some crazy clues from time to time to keep all this show alive... Concerning Maddie... I am really sorry for her... Poor child did not deserve these parents and the way the investigations turned up to a media circus...
ReplyDeleteThank you! for putting into words what so many of us thought upon learning the news of Kate's ambassadorship.
ReplyDeleteI've already signed the ipetition in protest that Joana Morais is publicizing.
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/kate-mccann-should-not-be-an-ambassador-for/
Missing People has been entwined with the McCanns ever since Madeleine went missing. This is not a new relationship. The organization went through a major relaunch in May 2007, just after the disappearance. Although reports state the relaunch had been planned for a year, you have to wonder if, contrary to their insistence, it was done because of M's case.

Yes I do dear Pat, I do and we all do (I think).
ReplyDeleteThere's more in Maddie's Affair than meets the eye.

Spot on Pat. Have sent 5 emails to this chatity with no response. They do not care. This is all part of the arrogance of people with money and in the public eye in GB and hoe they treat the public with disdain.
ReplyDeleteWell said Pat.
ReplyDeleteSometimes words to fail as with yesterday's appointment of a child neglector as ambassador.
Yuk.
Pat Brown you are a Godsend. Thank you for speaking out so brilliantly. Many in the UK are baffled as to what is going on in this case. It absolutely stinks and the population are wising up to the facts. The worriesome aspect is the draconian censorship across the internet and UK media. George Orwell must be turning in his urn.
ReplyDeleteI'm voting with my feet, I'm staying away from Missing People until she's gone. I always RT them but as they're now associated with the McCann's, it (rightly or wrongly) affects their judgement and aims.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that Missing People are going to regret appointing her (if they had any say in her being hired).
A PR nightmare for any charity in my opinion. A timely lesson in doing one's homework.
This has been mrs mccanns aim since July 2007. The newspaper reports of the time contain her expressions of desire for such a role. The ambition has been thwarted as a result of public opprobrium until now when, I presume, it is thought that there will be less opposition. given that the McCann's reputation couldn't be any lower than it is now, it does beggar the question what can this charity be thinking by risking its reputation in this way. This whole thing is like some Orwellian nightmare where good is bad and bad is good.
ReplyDeleteI will speak out here, I DO NOT believe that Madeleine was killed by the mother, they were loving parents who made a huge mistake in leaving their daughter alone.
ReplyDeleteIt would have sat far more easy to many if she campaigned for a law to ban parents from endangering their children by leaving them alone.
She is one of the worst example for searching for a missing child.
This Ambassador business is inappropriate, why not Kerry Needham?
Well said Pat. Sounds like something fishy going on.
ReplyDeleteI'll be firing off an email to the charity as well.
Operation Ore.
ReplyDeleteI feel sure that the names on that list would explain why the McCann's were 'lifted' out of Portugal.
This was a tragedy that had potential to bring down an entire government. How forgiving would an electorate be towards a government that had failed to act upon information about pedophiles within its own circle, within the the NHS and within the police force?
Hypothetically, of course. What disclosures might a trial have led to? Hypothetically!
The more the `Establishment` try to ram this couple down our throats, the more the UK population will become suspicious. The British are not called `bolshy` for nothing.

Don't apologize for your honest and heartfelt response, it was mine exactly. Some days I feel like I live in the Twilight Zone.
ReplyDeleteLocation, location, location: Read: ideal visibilility, good looks, professional class--who cares if the basement is flooded.
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't make it up could you? it's lika putting an alcoholic in charge of an off licence.
ReplyDeleteWhy on earth should SHE be an ambassador for missing people?!
ReplyDeleteHer child is 'missing' because she chose to leave her on her own with two younger siblings. (I don't believe that, but for arguements sake, that's what she has admitted to). So why??
I have lost respect for that charity. What a sad time for families of genuine missing people, really sad :(
"I just have to wonder why the McCanns seem to walk on British waters, don't you?"
ReplyDeleteAs a Brit - YES I do wonder!!
I wrote to the charity asking a few pertinent questions. the reply was that Kate Mccann is high profile blah blah blah.... so there you have it. Ordinary families of lissing people are not as desirable when it comes to raising public awareness of missing people. Nothing abut the obvious which is that most missing people were not three years old at the time of their disappearance - sorry abduction. The missing people charity won;t be getting any money from me.
ReplyDeleteAh,ah,ah! Kate McCann making a donation to a charity (even if for buying her way in)???!!! NO WAY! The McCanns NEVER give, they only take! There must be a reason for this appointment, oh yes, I believe the charity ahd no option, it was told to, by "someone"..."take her in or else..."
ReplyDeleteConnections, evil connections and some very nasty secrets/practices from VIPs, that's why the McCanns and friends are untouchable, in my opinion...
I for one will NOT be donating a single penny to the missing people charity. It sickens me that Kate McCanns child neglect has paid of and the spot light attention is on her again ( me me me its all about me ) what a spoilt horrible creature she is. The only place they should be right NOW is behind prison bars. They know fine well and good Madeleine is NEVER coming back. I hope you both ROT IN HELL. Pair of disgusting lying child neglectors. That stain will always stay with you both and that you both deserve.
ReplyDeleteThey killed Maddy. She was a nuisence to them, crying all the time, a real burden to them. They had twins, a boy and a girl, and Maddy just upset the balance and they had enough of the way she was.
ReplyDeleteThe mother did not want Maddy any more, and the father was not the biological father, Maddy came from a sperm donor.
The trip to Portugal was to get rid of Maddy, it was easier for them to do it there. They didn't search for her because they had no need to, the mother is cold as ice, no real emotion for Maddy, all fake. She (mother)was/is just interested in herself.
Maddy is dead, gone, they know this. No one abducted her, it's just impossible, the Police officer in Portugal knows Maddy was murdered.
If this had happened in the UK they would be locked up by now, that is why they did it in Portugal. They think their stature means no one will suspect them, but in time they will be locked up, it will all come out.
Sorry little off the topic, but I just can't understand how parents who lost their child in a most horrific way, who claim will not leave any stone unturned refuse to take a lie detector test..and their group of friends too. I am sickened that this one thing that could prove their innocence and focus on a true kidnapper... Why would they refuse?? ...surely any parent in that position wud say strip me naked for all I ca as long as it stops wasting time speculating on whether I'm guilty or not and actually gets you searching for my hold I will do anything!!! ...grrrr
ReplyDeleteHenry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Prince Phillip was invited to be President of the World Wildlife Fund, Tony Blair was appointed Peace Envoy to the Middle East. They mock us with these outrages. It's why they do it.
ReplyDeletefreemasons look after thier own...end of.
ReplyDeleteI cant imagine being in my garden whilst my little one was in the house let alone bugger off for tea at a bar!
ReplyDeleteI think shes guilty and he covered up for her. She never looks away from him. He does all the talking.
And i would be frantic to the point of suicide if my baby disappeared. It makes me sick theyre above the law let alone help a missing persons charity... What on earth can she possibly add? Only here in england hey!!! Get famous and rich? Id sooner be poor and starve!!!
Im not going to apologise i think the feeling is widespread people just dare not say it.
